Ex-Fable devs' Stardew Valley-like Kynseed comes to consoles on August 4
Kynseed, the charming life sim often referred to as Stardew Valley-like, will arrive on consoles on August 4. Indie developer PixelCount Studios, founded by two Lionhead veterans who worked on "every Fable game," announced the release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
The studio recently added a tavern management system on PC, a feature PixelCount says was one of the most requested by the community. "That means more players will soon be able to grow a family legacy, run shops, explore Quill, and now, of course, manage their very own tavern," the studio wrote, and it clarifies the venue is a non-alcoholic bar.
Players will be able to welcome villagers through their doors, serve drinks and food, hire entertainers and build up another cosy corner of their Kynseed life. Tavern management joins existing farming, crafting and relationship systems as part of the game's cozy simulation loop.
