Evo 2026: key reveals from Avatar Legends, Tekken and Rivals of Aether

Evo 2026 is taking place in Las Vegas this weekend, serving both as a tournament hub for games like Street Fighter 6 and Tekken 8 and as a stage for new fighting-game announcements. Multiple streams and announcements between matches have made it easy to miss reveals, so this roundup will be updated throughout the weekend.

Koei Tecmo teased the first DLC fighter for Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, a new character named Minato who will arrive sometime this summer. The Evo teaser highlights the Miyabi stage and shows Minato speaking with NiCO in the background, but does not show her in action.

Aether Studios laid out a multi-year roadmap for Rivals of Aether 2. Later this year the game will gain two new characters, two more events, and Steam Workshop support for items and characters. In 2027 it will hold four events, add two fighters and two Remix Rivals, enable eight-player matches, and let players spend currency to create custom color mixes.
