Sony opened Summer Game Fest week with a State of Play stream showcasing upcoming PS5 games from its first‑party studios and other teams. Insomniac’s Wolverine led the show: a demo has Logan infiltrating a facility, engaging in graphic close‑quarters combat, teaming up with Jean Grey for telekinetic assists, pursuing trucks in a motorcycle chase, and using a healing‑factor mechanic that can revive him when health reaches zero.

The game is due on PS5 on September 15. Other highlights included Arc System Works’ Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls, which introduced the Knights of Doom and arrives on PS5 and PC on August 6; Rayman Legends Retold, a full remake due October 1; Mintrocket’s Bancho the Chef, a prequel of cooking mini‑games with no date yet; and Kemuri: Hunt the Unseen, a fast‑paced, anime‑inspired co‑op open‑world action game for up to three players coming in 2027.

Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis was confirmed for February 12 next year, and Annapurna showed The Lost Wild, a narrative adventure with dinosaur survival elements.
