Everything We Saw At Xbox’s 2026 Summer Showcase

Sony had its big summer showcase on Monday with a State of Play, and now it’s Microsoft’s turn. The company held its own stream today to show off new games coming to Xbox Series X/S, and had already confirmed it wouldn’t feature any news on the consoles’ upcoming “Project Helix” successor.

Kicking off the show is Gears of War: E-Day, the prequel showing the beginnings of Marcus Fenix’s no-good, very-bad day fighting the Locusts as they first appear on Sera.

The game will launch on October 6, will be available to Game Pass subscribers on day one, and will be an Xbox console exclusive. Fable from Playground Games followed with a story trailer; after a delay out of 2026 it will launch on February 23, 2027 and will also be on Game Pass day one.
