Everything we know about Final Fantasy 7 Revelation

Final Fantasy 7 Revelation is the third and final act in the Remake trilogy. It will launch in spring 2027, though no specific date has been set. Revelation is also the first game in the trilogy to arrive on all platforms simultaneously, including PC; there are no PC store pages yet, but it is slated for Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Xbox for PC.

Combat leans into a tactical hybrid system that lets players pause and plan, blending nods to the series' turn-based roots with more active action. Features seen so far include FITs dress-up options, altered movesets inspired by classic Final Fantasy, playable Vincent with beast transformations, a playable Cid using an aerial Dragoon kit, synergy abilities, and the return of Knights of the Round.

Weapons are described as "enemies that Cloud and his companions must stand against," which suggests they may no longer be optional encounters.
