Everything to Know About Surviving Earth
Surviving Earth is an eight-part docuseries co-produced by Universal Television Alternative Studio and Loud Minds that premieres Thursday, June 11 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. It revisits pivotal periods in Earth’s past to highlight the planet’s resilience and the many creatures that once called it home.
Across eight episodes the series reaches back about 450 million years, using cutting-edge CGI to recreate prehistoric landscapes and animals. Viewers will encounter everything from giant sea scorpions to mighty mammoths and sabertooths, and sequences that traverse terrain shaped by meteoric strikes, volcanic eruptions, plunging sea levels and scorching heat storms; the trailer even teases baby gomphotheres.
New episodes air weekly on Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT from June 11 through July 30, with each episode available to stream the next day on Peacock. Episodes of The Americas: Fun Fact Edition follow immediately after at 9 p.m. ET/PT.
