Prime Video's Every Year After Tops Charts, Overtakes Two Hits
Prime Video's new R-rated, eight-episode series Every Year After — adapted from novels by Carley Fortune — premiered on June 10 and has quickly climbed the platform's rankings. The drama stars Sadie Soverall, Matt Cornett, Michael Bradway, Abigail Cowen and Elisha Cuthbert, and follows Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, childhood friends whose summer romance was shattered by a devastating mistake; Percy returns a decade later to mourn a family friend and confront unresolved feelings.
Every Year After has reached the #1 title on Prime Video in the United States and is the #1 series overall on the Global Top 10. In doing so it overtook Off Campus and another recent favorite, the superhero smash Spider-Noir, which has slipped to #3 on the platform behind Off Campus; other Top 10 stalwarts include Jack Ryan: Ghost War, The Boys and Citadel.
Critical and audience response has been mixed. The series holds a 70% critics rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 51% audience score.
