Amazon Renews Every Year After for Season 2 Less Than Three Weeks After Debut

Prime Video has renewed Every Year After for a second season less than three weeks after the series debuted. The streamer confirmed Season 2 will adapt Carley Fortune’s One Golden Summer and shift the show’s emotional center toward Charlie Florek, played by Michael Bradway.

Season 1 adapted Fortune’s Every Summer After and followed Percy Fraser (Sadie Soverall) and Sam Florek (Matt Cornett) through a story of summer friendship, heartbreak and reunion after Percy returned to her childhood lake town. The new season will broaden the focus on Barry’s Bay, keeping familiar faces while handing the central romance to a different character.

The confirmed Season 2 cast includes Michael Bradway, Sadie Soverall, Matt Cornett, Aurora Perrineau, Abigail Cowen and Joseph Chiu, and Harris remains showrunner with Fortune, Lindsey Liberatore, Amy Rardin, John Stephens and Grace Gilroy serving as executive producers.
