EVE newbie sold a $7,000 Molok titan from a free loot box
After about six months in EVE Online, a player opened a free loot box from the Crimson Harvest event and found a Molok titan blueprint. He eventually sold the blueprint for 700 billion ISK — roughly $7,000 by PLEX conversion — and used the proceeds to buy a long stretch of Omega subscription time.
The Molok is a Titan-class ship and exceptionally rare. Introduced in 2017, only four have been destroyed since, while the ship carries thousands of kills; EVE community staff say fewer than 50 players have ever recorded a kill with one. Blueprints for the class usually come only from high-end group PvE.
Fenris Creations opened the 2025 Crimson Harvest to lower-level activity and added a capstone container that could drop anything up to a Molok blueprint. Developers counted three Molok blueprints obtained across the event. The winner didn’t recognise the ship at first, shared a screenshot with his corporation, and relied on their guidance to avoid scams before listing it for auction.
