Eric Dane's daughter graduates middle school after actor's ALS death

Rebecca Gayheart celebrated her daughter Georgia’s middle school graduation on Instagram, calling it the end of an “incredibly difficult” year. Gayheart posted a carousel of photos and video showing Georgia, 14, receiving a large sunflower and a certificate onstage, and noted her “tenacity, grit and grace.” She also mentioned Georgia’s MVP trophy for beach volleyball and welcomed her to high school.

The post included a photo of Gayheart kissing her youngest daughter’s cheek and shots of Georgia with friends. Ellen Pompeo, who starred with Georgia’s late father on "Grey’s Anatomy," left a congratulatory comment, and Alyssa Milano called the girls “so gorgeous.” Several followers praised Georgia for carrying herself with “a level of class and dignity” beyond her years.

Georgia’s milestone comes nearly four months after her father, Eric Dane, died on February 19 following a battle with ALS. Gayheart and Dane called off their divorce amid his diagnosis, and the couple also share daughter Billie, 16.
