Epic has spent a lot of money building a PC gaming store that, if I’m being charitable, could best be described as “functional.” But it isn’t giving up: at Unreal Fest in Chicago on June 18 the company outlined a roadmap and promised a big redesign plus a slate of useful features still missing from the Epic Games Store.

Reddit user ImAnthlon shared photos of a talk that listed the “Up First” items: third-party patch notes; Epic parties (likely party chat); library management and storefront improvements; cross-region gifting; Fortnite Chunked Installation; pre-registration for F2P games; and storefront rearchitecture.

Further down the line, the roadmap names written user reviews, player profiles (yeah, this is still not a thing), discovery improvements, publisher coupons, search improvements, and a public release of a redesigned “Version 2” of the Epic Games launcher and store.
