England opened the World Cup with a 4-2 win over Croatia and a 0-0 draw with Ghana. Their final Group L game is against Panama at MetLife Stadium on June 27 (5pm ET); a victory there will guarantee top spot regardless of the Ghana–Croatia result. Current Group L standings show England first, Ghana second, Croatia third and Panama fourth.

If England finish first, the projected path includes a Round of 32 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on July 1, a Round of 16 at Estadio Azteca on July 5, a quarter-final at Hard Rock Stadium on July 11, a semi-final on July 15 at Mercedes-Benz, and the final at MetLife on July 19.

Finishing second or third would change venues and opponents: the runner-up route features BMO Field (July 2), AT&T Stadium (July 6) and SoFi Stadium (July 10) before a July 14 semi-final at AT&T; the third-place route could mean Arrowhead Stadium (July 3 and July 11) and BC Place (July 7) en route to the same July 19 final.
