Ella Purnell's first Fallout experience was 'scary graphics' on New Vegas

Yellowjackets star Sophie Thatcher recalled Ella Purnell's first Fallout experience before leading the Prime Video adaptation, saying Thatcher tried to create Purnell in the game and Purnell replied, "Turn it off! It's scary graphics." Thatcher added that Fallout: New Vegas has an uncanny look.

Thatcher's other gaming attempts with the cast also faltered: she brought the Yellowjackets girls over to create each of them in The Sims, which took hours and left people bored. A self-described gaming fanatic, Thatcher mentioned four generations of PlayStation consoles, three Oculus headsets and a "broken" Xbox, and said meeting Hideo Kojima felt like, "You're a god to us."

Purnell previously told PC Gamer she had dabbled in Fallout 4 prior to the first season and found it a "fun and exciting experience." Fallout season 3 has been announced, with the new episodes seemingly heading to Colorado, and the season 2 ending set up war coming to the streets of New Vegas.
