Eli Roth’s Ice Cream Man previews bloody, darkly comic horror

The red-band trailer for Eli Roth’s Ice Cream Man offers a brief, grisly look at a film that mixes gore and laughs. The setup nods to recent horror hits that used eerie children as a central mystery — Weapons made that device key with its Aunt Gladys twist — but Roth’s take sends an ice cream man through an idyllic town and into outright madness.

"Ice Cream Man follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results." The cast includes Ari Millen, Benjamin Byron Davis, Eli Roth, Karen Cliche, Dylan Hawco, Sarah Abbott, Shiloh O’Reilly, Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer and Charlie Storey.

Roth directs from a screenplay by himself and Noah Belson; producers are Kate Harrison Karman and Eli Roth. The film is listed at 106 minutes and due August 7, 2026.
