Elder Scrolls 6 'Coming Along Well' but Not Ready for a Re-Reveal
Bethesda’s The Elder Scrolls 6 remains in active development but was a no-show at Xbox’s recent summer showcase. "I can tell you, having visited Bethesda and sat with Todd and seen Elder Scrolls playing, it looks amazing, and it’s coming along well," Xbox chief content officer Matt Booty told Variety, and he added that the team will "announce it and really reveal it at the right time." The game was infamously announced way back at E3 2018 and hasn’t received a new teaser trailer since.
Back in 2023, then head of Xbox Phil Spencer suggested The Elder Scrolls 6 was at least five years away, putting its launch tentatively in 2028; PlayStation 6 and Microsoft’s Project Helix are expected to be out by then, so the sequel may end up skipping a console generation.
Marvel’s Blade was also absent from the showcase. Arkane’s Blade was revealed at The Game Awards 2023 and reportedly didn’t enter full production until 2024, which could leave it years from release.
