Bandai Namco announced Thursday that Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will arrive on Nintendo Switch 2 on Aug. 28. The release brings the 2022 open-world action-RPG to the console in its complete form, bundling the base game with the 2024 expansion Shadow of the Erdtree.

Switch 2 owners will also get new starting classes and cosmetic bonuses, including new armor sets and customization options for the in-game steed, Torrent. Players on other platforms will need to purchase those cosmetic items; pricing has not been announced. The Switch 2 port was first revealed in April 2025 at Nintendo's showcase, alongside ports of Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Street Fighter 6 and Hitman World of Assassination.

It was originally slated for 2025 but was delayed into 2026 after a poor showing at Gamescom; recent demonstrations have looked stronger and the teams appear to have the game working on Nintendo's hybrid console-handheld.
