Eintracht Frankfurt in talks for Saint-Étienne striker Djylian N'Guessan
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano says Eintracht Frankfurt are in talks to sign 17-year-old French striker Djylian N'Guessan from AS Saint-Étienne. Chelsea had earlier been tracking the forward.
N'Guessan has spent most of the season on the fringes at Saint-Étienne, making 13 competitive appearances for 325 minutes and scoring once. In January the club rejected an eight-million-euro offer from Chelsea as it prioritised an immediate return to Ligue 1; after missing promotion this term departures are now expected and he could be among those sold.
He has an impressive youth record for France, with 11 goals in 11 U17 games and 12 in 14 U16 outings, and has already featured for the U20s. N'Guessan joined Saint-Étienne's academy twelve years ago and is under contract until 2027.
