Early SCREENX Screening of Live-Action 'Moana'

After being summoned by the ocean, the headstrong Moana sets off past the barrier reef to seek a way to save her community on the island of Motunui.

An early SCREENX screening of Disney's live-action Moana will be held at AMC Burbank 16 on Wednesday, July 8, at 7:00 PM. Check-in opens at 6:00 PM; please be seated by 7:00 PM. SCREENX stretches the film beyond the main screen and onto the theatre walls for a 270-degree panoramic view.

The cast includes Catherine Laga'aia as Moana, Rena Owen as Gramma Tala, John Tui as Chief Tui, Frankie Adams as Sina, Jemaine Clement voicing Tamatoa, and Dwayne Johnson reprising Maui. Thomas Kail directs the 120-minute film, which also features new music including a Moana song from Dwayne Johnson. The wide release is July 10, 2026.
