Early Prime Day iPhone deals: free iPhone 17 Pro at T-Mobile, Air on sale

Prime Day has arrived earlier than usual, and Amazon doesn’t currently list iPhone discounts. Tim Cook called iPhone price hikes "unavoidable," citing a chip problem, so shoppers who need an upgrade may want to act sooner rather than later. T-Mobile is offering the iPhone 17 Pro for $0 with no trade-in required; the list price is $1,099.99, a $1,099.99 saving.

The deal requires signing up for a T-Mobile Experience More or Experience Beyond plan for 24 months while promo credits are applied. The Cosmic Orange colorway is available. Best Buy has the 256GB iPhone Air on sale for $929.99 (was $999.99), saving $70. The Air is Apple’s thinnest-ever iPhone at 5.6mm, with an ultralight titanium frame, about 27 hours of battery life, and eSIM support.

For a budget option, Best Buy lists the iPhone 16e at $529.99 (was $599.99), also $70 off; it includes 128GB, a 6.1-inch display, and the A18 chip, and is one generation behind the newest model.
