Dragon's Dogma 2 is the perfect binge for Skyrim fans
It has been 15 years since The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim was released, and the Special Edition still averages almost 30,000 players every day on SteamDB. If you want something different that still shares plenty with Skyrim, Dragon's Dogma 2 is a strong option. Dragon's Dogma 2 revolves around dragons.
You play the Arisen, a chosen one who must face a fearsome dragon, while a political conflict unfolds between Vermund, lush and teeming with life, and Battahl, a barren, sandy wasteland. Both regions offer charming locales and side quests to discover. The game’s pawn system lets you command companions in battle, and multiple vocations mean there are many ways to approach combat.
Exploration is emphasized: fast travel is limited, so the journey between locations is as rewarding as the destinations. The title can be a bit janky at times—its physics are often hilarious—but a review called it "the best video game adventure since Elden Ring" and said it "confidently overcomes its flaws." The Dark Arisen expansion will be released on Oct.
