Dragon's Dogma 2's latest update introduces a long-requested change to fast travel: the Eternal Ferrystone. The game's previous system required one-use items or riding oxcarts that could be ambushed, leaving players to do a lot of on-foot backtracking. The Eternal Ferrystone works like a regular Ferrystone but with unlimited uses and is obtained during the "Seat of the Sovran" quest, which appears relatively early.

Portcrystals have been added in Melve, Checkpoint Rest Town, and Volcanic Island Camp, and you receive a placeable Portcrystal after completing the "Monster Culling" quest. June's patch also delivers UI fixes, changes to quest rewards and treasure chest contents, a host of bug fixes, and a new Pawn specialization called Guardian, which can prevent oxcart attacks and better protect you while camping.

Capcom says a second free update arriving in August will include adjustments to vocations, enemies, and more.
