Don't Kill Them All makes you manage orc rage to protect resources
Don't Kill Them All turns the classic orc fantasy on its head by making restraint the core challenge: your warband wants to smash everything, but breaking the things you came to claim angers your warlord and undermines your expedition. The game loops this idea into a single mechanic: rage.
Orcs cannot die, but they can lose their temper from taking damage or watching resources be destroyed. If all your orcs crash out, the expedition ends and you lose what you set out to take. Combat plays out on a tile-based grid where you must manoeuvre around logs and rocks or shove enemies aside so their attacks don’t spoil your spoils.
Abilities raise rage—sometimes even on first use—and repeated use ramps it up further, creating a constant trade-off between smashing and preservation. Rage carries between encounters, and expeditions cost time XCOM-style. The demo is promising, helped by a charming art style that fits the game’s tongue-in-cheek theme of resource management.
