Diablo 4's Lord of Hatred expansion has been out for a few weeks, and Blizzard published stats showing how players are spending time in the DLC. The expansion adds two classes, Warlock and Paladin, and the numbers point to a clear favorite.

Mephisto has felled 704,000 players so far, while players have slain 392 billion monsters—figures that underline both the game's scale and how quickly some overpowered builds can clear hordes of demons.

Class choice skews toward Warlocks: 2.1 million Warlocks have been created versus 1.4 million Paladins. Warlocks’ flashy spellcaster look—tattoos and horns—appears to draw more attention, while Paladins are heavily armored holy melee fighters with a more passive playstyle that suits players who prefer steady click-to-kill combat over summons, shards and intricate skill synergies.

Blizzard also designed the Warlock to feel like it could beat necromancers and sorceresses in a 'fist fight.'
