Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection continues the story of Dexter Morgan with Michael C. Hall returning as the series' central figure. The new episodes pick up threads from the first season, with Dexter carrying a stack of files on other killers and facing renewed suspicion as he confronts old and new threats.

Several main cast members from Season 1 are back. Jack Alcott returns as Harrison Morgan, now a police officer, while Uma Thurman reprises Charley Brown, who may return to settle scores or seek a new purpose. Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine plays Blessing Kamara, Dexter’s friend and moral conscience; Kadia Saraf is Detective Claudette Wallace; Dominic Fumusa returns as Detective Melvin Oliva; and James Remar remains the guiding presence of Harry Morgan.

New and notable additions include Desmond Harrington reprising Joey Quinn, now a lieutenant; Brian Cox as Don Framt, a.k.a. the New York Ripper; Dan Stevens as Owen Stark, the Five Boroughs Killer; Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona Mixon and Bokeem Woodbine as Captain Mixon.
