Dead or Alive 6 rerelease draws 70% negative Steam reviews
Dead or Alive 6 was removed from sale and replaced by a rerelease called Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, which currently has a 70% negative user rating on Steam. The original version sits at about 70% positive, even after some players began giving it negative reviews in protest.
Players point out that DLC is more expensive in Last Round. Transferring a save from the old version will unlock most characters and costumes already bought, but crossover SNK characters Mai and Kula are not included and must be paid for again. Critics call Last Round barebones: aside from upgraded lighting on one stage it offers little visual change, costumes unlock faster, and the headline addition is a photo mode.
Other complaints include an install size described as "40% bigger" and the continued absence of rollback netcode or crossplay. Longstanding frustration over the series' focus on sexualised DLC rather than gameplay features features prominently in user reaction.
