Dead or Alive 6: Last Round ships with $1,700 of DLC and poor Steam reviews
Dead or Alive is staging a comeback for the series' 30th anniversary, but the first chapter of that return has met a harsh reception. Dead or Alive 6: Last Round launched with what amounts to $1,700 of downloadable content and has been heavily criticized in Steam reviews.
Billed as the "definitive" edition, Last Round adds a photo mode and new costumes while remaining otherwise identical to the 2019 release. It still lacks crossplay and rollback netcode—features that were odd omissions in 2019 and are especially notable in 2026.
The previous version has been delisted and there is no upgrade path, so owners of the old game must pay $40 to access future DLC. Old DLC purchases transfer to Last Round, but the new launch includes 440 pieces of DLC totaling $1,707.60 per IsThereAnyDeal, and some character unlocks have risen from $4 to $8.
