Dead Or Alive 6 Last Round launches with 440 DLCs, forces repurchases

Dead or Alive 6 Last Round, Koei Tecmo’s re-release of its now-delisted 2019 fighting game, arrived on Steam on June 25 and opened to Mostly Negative reviews. Players complained about lingering bugs from the original release and being required to repurchase content they already owned.

The $40 package adds five characters, some graphical tweaks and a new photo mode, but many fans expected the addition of rollback netcode. The Steam storefront currently lists 440 individual DLC items. Several are packaged versions of other DLC, and many entries—such as DLC characters—are included in the paid Last Round edition but remain visible for players who download the free Dead or Alive 6 Last Round Core Fighters version.

A significant portion of the DLC, however, was carried over from the 2019 release and isn’t bundled into the $40 re-release. Some previously owned items will transfer, but two original DLC characters, Mai Shiranui and Kula Diamond, must be repurchased, apparently because of licensing tied to their King of Fighters origins.
