Dawn O'Porter on her shopping habits and beauty routines
Dawn O'Porter, the bestselling author, TV presenter and co-founder of the NGO Choose Love, described her shopping habits and favourite purchases after recently resettling in the UK with her husband Chris O'Dowd, their two sons and a menagerie of animals. She said her most recent treat was Frøya face cream, which she credits with drawing compliments to her skin and which she called part of a long list of things she does for skin care.
For food she alternates between a privately owned local health food shop and supermarkets such as Waitrose or M&S. Her best-gift story included giving a friend a tattoo voucher and receiving a Peloton from her husband for her 40th birthday. Her favourite online shops include Fumbalinas for kaftans and Esska for shoes, while her favourite bricks-and-mortar store is Trindle Stores, near Kew Gardens station, which she praised for independent food brands and coffee.
She said she was given a Lyma laser to try, uses it nightly for three minutes on different parts of her face, and has reduced the amount of Botox she gets since using it; the device retails at £1,999 and she described the price tag as "OUCH." O'Porter said she gets most things delivered, regrets buying many pairs of jeans, and is seeking new underwear brands after liking US label Cuup.
