David Beckham stonewalled a question about his son Brooklyn during a Variety interview the same day he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. When asked what toll the "vicious" coverage of the "family strife" had taken, he replied, "To be honest, I’m sorry to stop you there, but that’s a private matter.

That’s the one thing that I don’t want to talk about." His wife Victoria and their remaining children — Romeo, Cruz and 14-year-old Harper — were at the ceremony. Brooklyn, 27, did not attend. After the event, Harper was seen stopping by Brooklyn’s Los Angeles home but left moments later without being received.

A source said Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz were not at home and are believed to be in New York. A rep for Brooklyn and Peltz said, "That photographers were in place as the letter was hand delivered says it all — this was choreographed for the cameras." Reps for David and Victoria have not responded to requests for comment.
