Daveigh Chase, Star of The Ring and Lilo & Stitch, Dies at 35
Actress Daveigh Chase has died at 35. TMZ first reported that her boyfriend, Roy Hernandez, said she passed away on Tuesday, Jun. 16. She suffered from meningitis and an infection in her blood, which induced septic issues and led to her body shutting down. No statement has been shared honoring her passing from her friends or family, as of writing.
Chase began her screen career in 1998 with an appearance on Sabrina the Teenage Witch and rose to international prominence in 2002 as the voice of Lilo Pelekai in Walt Disney Animation Studios' Lilo & Stitch. She also voiced Lilo in almost every episode of the animated series, in which the two leading heroes hunted down many of Dr.
Jumba's other experiments. She did not appear in the 2025 live-action remake, which grossed over $1 billion worldwide.
