Dave the Diver: In the Jungle review
In The Jungle is a $10/£8.49 DLC for Dave the Diver that expands the base game into a much larger package. The reviewer spent more than 25 hours with the content pack and found it packed with activities, new characters, and enough content that it almost feels like a standalone game.
The DLC keeps the familiar routine of daily dives and restaurant service but adds fresh layers. Bancho sets up an outdoor restaurant where freshwater fish must be grilled rather than served raw, and Dave gains new gear such as a “Jungle Gun” that switches between sniper, shotgun, net gun, and assault rifle.
The lake is full of threats from piranha to enormous crocodiles, and diving deeper uncovers stranger, more dangerous creatures. On the surface, the game shifts to a top-down, Stardew Valley–style village with more than 30 new characters to meet. You can move freely between your customizable cabin, the village, resource gathering, and the lake; the sections flow together so Dave feels like he’s actually living in the world.
