Data fabric bridges SOC and NOC for seamless operations
The SOC and NOC have long aimed for the same outcome—secure, available systems—but taken different paths. On a typical morning, traffic to a customer-facing application can spike 400% in 90 seconds; NOC engineers may chase a load-balancer misconfiguration while SOC analysts treat the same signal as a DDoS.
Two war rooms and two dashboards later, the true cause can turn out to be a botched release that retried failed calls, a pattern only visible when network telemetry and security signals appear together. Splitting responsibilities made sense when tooling, escalation paths, and expertise needed to be distinct.
Networks and threats have since grown more complex, though, and the seam between the two functions now often hides the most damaging incidents. Rather than debating an organizational merger, a more practical goal is giving both teams a shared view of reality so that overlap stops being a blind spot.
