Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 Confirms Surprising Return of Luke Cage

Marvel Studios returned to New York in live action this year with Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which ran eight episodes in Apr. and May. The season sent Charlie Cox’s Daredevil into a series of escalations, recruiting fighters to oppose Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk during his time as mayor, and concluded with several unexpected turns.

Mike Colter’s Luke Cage reappeared in the final moments of Episode 8, getting about a minute of screen time. He walks into Jessica Jones’ Alias Investigation office to find her and their young daughter, Danielle, back in New York after undertaking shady missions overseas for a government official.

Second unit director Philip J. Silvera said the aim has been to stay “true to the character within the street-level world,” and added that viewers are “going to be very surprised to see what they’re about to see.
