Daredevil: Born Again's Kingpin Unleashes 'Full Metal Rage' in Hallway Fight
The second season of Daredevil: Born Again wrapped this past May on Disney+, ending with a violent climax. After a two-season battle with Wilson Fisk, Daredevil finally corners the mayor inside a courthouse; when protesters breach the building, Fisk begins killing them in a bloody, borderline ludicrous scene that leans into the show's comic-book roots.
Action director Philip J Silvera said he and Vincent D'Onofrio described the sequence as "full metal rage." He pointed to an early comic panel where Kingpin looks like he was striking like a silverback gorilla, and explained that when Fisk becomes emotional the show lets him swing with massive, terrifying power — notably in the hallway in Episode 8.
Prior to that moment the public had only seen Fisk box in the episode "Gloves Off" and knew him mostly as a politician; few expected him to slaughter people with his bare hands. Silvera said the scene was treated like a horror movie, allowing Fisk to "swing for the fences" and showing the cost to those trapped with him.
