Danny Pintauro is working five jobs to make ends meet and says he receives no money from residuals tied to the ABC sitcom that made him famous. The former child star, who played Jonathan Bower on Who’s the Boss? from 1984 to 1992, went viral after posting a photo of himself delivering packages for Amazon.

On the Pod Meets World podcast, Pintauro, 50, described acting as one of several gigs and said, "We have to do what we have to do to survive." He told hosts Danielle Fishel, Will Friedle and Rider Strong that many performers rely on multiple jobs outside Hollywood because acting alone often is not enough to pay the bills.

He said the public reaction to his Amazon job shifted after he explained the financial realities, noting, "The flack just disappeared." Pintauro recalled being ridiculed years ago for taking a summer job at Gap near the end of his run on Who’s the Boss? and said, "There is something about that.
