Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 teaser reveals new Night City story

Nearly five years after Netflix and Studio Trigger turned Cyberpunk 2077 into one of the streamer’s most successful anime adaptations, Night City is getting a new story. The latest teaser introduces a different corner of the same world, with a new cast and a focus on how people survive in a city where violence is constantly turned into spectacle.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 is a standalone 10-episode follow-up that does not continue the first season’s story directly. The new ensemble appears led by Roman Carax, a young aspiring journalist and analog-media obsessive whose camera shapes the audience's entry into the tale.

He is joined by Weak Kingsley, a veteran Edgerunner; D, a netrunner driven by revenge; and Talia Yang, a polished corporate figure who is nonetheless dangerous. The trailer leaves some connections unexplained but establishes the basic shape of the group: people from different backgrounds pulled into the same violent orbit.
