Pearl Abyss outlined what Crimson Desert's 5 million players can expect over the next few months and confirmed it is developing DLC, though the studio offered few details. "We are also hard at work on an upcoming DLC for Crimson Desert, and while we cannot share the details just yet, we are preparing it as a meaningful addition to your journey.

We will share more details in the future, so stay tuned," the studio said. Top of the list are story improvements. Pearl Abyss said it is working to "refine and improve the coherence of key scenes" to "further strengthen the narrative flow of Kliff’s journey" and hopes the changes "will offer something new even for those who have already experienced Pywel." Planned updates also include "a new combat-focused content," cross-save support, a new phase for Re-Blockade, gameplay adjustments for Damiane and Oongka, and general quality-of-life improvements.

The studio noted these features are in active development and subject to change, and gave no release date for the next major update.
