Borussia Dortmund extended Felix Nmecha's contract to 2030 and say they are planning for the long term, yet a move to the Premier League could still materialise this summer. Sky says Newcastle United, Manchester United and Manchester City remain in contact with the German international's management.

Sporting director Ole Book insisted, "Felix will be playing for us next season too; that is the clear plan," adding that Nmecha is "one of the best midfielders in Germany" and "hugely important to our game." Sky reports a small question mark over the 25-year-old: should an English club table a financially attractive offer, Nmecha could lobby internally for an early exit.

He came through Manchester City's academy, and a move to the Premier League is said to be one of his ambitions. Dortmund's finances increase the pressure. Their early Champions League exit left the club €17 million short of its budget, and overall Dortmund earned €30 million less in the competition than the previous season.
