James Mangold is revisiting Cop Land as an all-new TV series, and Deadline confirmed the project has found a home on Paramount+. The streamer already carries several high-profile thrillers and action series—including Lioness, Mayor of Kingstown and Tulsa King—and is home to other crime "Land" shows such as MobLand and Landman.

The original 1997 Cop Land, directed by Mangold, remains an overlooked entry in Sylvester Stallone's career. Starring Stallone alongside Harvey Keitel, Ray Liotta and Robert De Niro, the film is set in a small New Jersey community of New York City cops and follows Stallone’s sheriff as he uncovers deep corruption and confronts an unspoken code among law enforcement.

It is not yet known whether Stallone will take part in the remake.
