The synchronistic rituals that once held the Oldest House together have been broken, the Hiss spilling into Manhattan as another Altered World Event rips the city apart. You play as Dylan Faden, pulled from isolation into a wider but deliberately non-open world, a decision that lets Remedy avoid the common sequel trap of blind scale for its own sake.

Control Resonant keeps the series’ focus on paranatural abilities and environment-driven traversal, adding more verticality as Manhattan’s streets fold and twist. The map is split into sectors filled with bruised FBC agents, civilians to help and pockets of crafted dungeons; Dylan can float and dash between points of interest while the Gap lets you experiment with builds, skill points and weapons before returning to combat.

The game shifts the franchise away from the volatile gunplay of the past toward grittier melee action.
