Congratulations On Your Purchase is a walking simulator on Steam released in May that costs $999.99 and lasts about 10 minutes. It presents itself as a “luxury experience,” putting the player on a red carpet flanked by paparazzi and separated from the crowd by a velvet cord “because some spaces must be protected from the wrong kind of people.” At the carpet's end the player signs a wall next to others who spent $1,000, and that is largely the extent of the game.

The developer is explicit about the price: “The price is not a mistake. It is the point.” The Steam store page contains formatting errors and includes an AI artwork disclaimer: “Some of the store page artwork for this game was created with the assistance of generative AI image tools.” PC Gamer accessed the game through press and described it as bleak, while a curator left an exaggerated all‑caps endorsement celebrating the purchase as a status flex.

SteamDB shows a peak of one concurrent player on launch day and only six names on the game's wall.
