Collin Gosselin blurs Kate Gosselin’s face in post ahead of memoir
Collin Gosselin blurred his mother Kate Gosselin’s face in an Instagram Story while resharing social media coverage of his forthcoming memoir, In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood. He attached a fan comment reading, “What’s done in darkness will always come to light,” and paired the post with Han Zimmer’s 2014 track “Day One.” A representative for Kate, 51, wasn’t immediately available for comment.
The memoir, due Oct. 13, will recount Collin’s life with his seven siblings and, his publisher says, details how he was held down, hidden in a basement cell for years and given a cocktail of powerful antipsychotics as a child. Collin earlier released a cover image showing a young him with Kate covering his mouth.
Collin rose to fame on the reality series Jon & Kate Plus 8. He has accused Kate of child abuse and exploitation, which she has denied; in 2018 Jon received sole custody of Collin.
