Coco Austin types Ice‑T’s lines and often visits the SVU set

Before filming his scenes as Odafin “Fin” Tutuola, Ice T gets a little help from his wife, Coco Austin. On the Dear Chelsea podcast in May 2026, co-star Kevin Kane praised Austin, saying, "She's the best," and noting that she types his lines and notes into his iPhone every day.

The couple has been married since 2001 and remain inseparable more than two-and-a-half decades later. Austin is a regular on the SVU set, often bringing their daughter Chanel, has guest-starred on several episodes and even has a poster-sized photo in Ice T’s dressing room.

Ice T recalled practicing a scene they shot together in 2024, an interrogation in which he was to question her. They rehearsed at home, he said, but once on set the director took over — and "she killed it."

Kane also spoke of getting to know Ice T while working together, praising his stories and steady temperament. Law & Order: SVU has been renewed for Season 28, with new episodes set to return in fall 2026.
