Clockwork Revolution goes full steampunk heist in new gameplay trailer
InXile Entertainment showed fresh gameplay for Clockwork Revolution during Xbox’s summer showcase, offering a clearer look at the studio’s steampunk action RPG. The game is set in Avalon, an industrial city run by competing crime bosses, and is slated to release in 2027 as an Xbox console exclusive.
Players customize Morgan Vanette, who navigates the grimy metropolis with a robotic companion called Prentice and a device known as the Chronometer that can shift the flow of time. The trailer frames a heist gone wrong involving Vanette and the Rotten Row Hooligans, and highlights combat-heavy sequences as well as time-bending abilities like Displace, which moves objects to open new paths or turn the environment against enemies.
Game director Chad Moore says using the Chronometer to alter the environment and change the past will directly affect allies and shape character relationships, so playthroughs can differ based on player choices.
