Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey: Tickets Now on Sale

Tickets for Christopher Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s The Odyssey went on general sale June 9, 2026, after earlier rounds of sales quickly sold out. Early 70mm IMAX showings made available on July 17, 2025, were snapped up immediately, and when wider IMAX sales opened on June 4 demand was so high that several ticket websites crashed.

The film will be released in multiple formats, including IMAX, IMAX 70mm, 70mm, 4DX, XD, D-Box and MDX4D. Which options are available will depend on what your local theater supports. The Odyssey is the only theatrical feature filmed entirely in the IMAX format with bespoke IMAX cameras.

Nolan used a combination of original and new IMAX Film Cameras, capturing imagery at up to three times the resolution of standard digital cameras. Christopher Nolan’s epic opens in theaters on July 17, 2026.
