Chris Meloni Turns Mariska Hargitay's Broadway Night Into a Silly Reunion

Chris Meloni attended Mariska Hargitay’s Broadway show and shared three photos from the night in a June 4 Instagram post. He wrote, "Checked out a pal on BWay. Well done @therealmariskahargitay," adding, "She brought a freshness to the part- and I know, cuz I double checked — it’s what partners do!

One image in the carousel shows Meloni playfully sniffing Hargitay’s armpit, a moment the post makes light of — it’s safe to say Hargitay passed the sniff test. She has been earning rave reviews for her one-person show Every Brilliant Thing, which runs through July 5 at New York City’s Hudson Theatre, and a Tony for the role was mentioned alongside her 2011 Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series Emmy.

Meloni joined several Law & Order: SVU colleagues in the audience, with Kelli Giddish, Raúl Esparza, Corey Cott, Peter Scanavino and Hugh Dancy among those who watched Hargitay’s Broadway debut.
