Cesc Fabregas to return to Emirates as Como visit for pre-season friendly
Cesc Fabregas will return to the Emirates Stadium this summer when his Como side travel to north London for a pre-season friendly on August 12, with a 19:30 BST kick-off as both teams prepare for the 2026-27 campaign. The match will be the first time Fabregas has come back to his former ground in a managerial capacity.
He made his professional debut for Arsenal in 2003 and spent eight years with the club before departing for Barcelona, making the visit a poignant homecoming for the Spaniard. It will also be the first-ever meeting between Arsenal and Como. The Italian club, fresh from a Serie A top-four finish that earned them a maiden UEFA Champions League campaign, have invested heavily in their squad, including a €60 million fee to retain playmaker Nico Paz.
Como confirmed fans will be able to buy general admission tickets and that further ticketing details will follow. The friendly falls 10 days before Como begin their Serie A season away at Udinese and nine days before Arsenal start their title defence against Coventry City.
