Brazilian midfielder Casemiro has reportedly agreed to join Inter Miami after a months-long pursuit. Miami and LA Galaxy had both been linked with the former Manchester United player, who left United as a free agent in June, and the reigning MLS Cup champions appear to have secured his signature.

Fabrizio Romano said Casemiro will arrive after the World Cup, with Miami fending off interest from other MLS sides and the Saudi Pro League. The club has been searching for an additional central midfielder all season. The Herons struggled to replace Sergio Busquets following his retirement at the end of the 2025 season.

David Ayala, signed from the Portland Timbers, has yet to settle in South Beach and Yannick Bright has not recaptured last season's form. Casemiro will not occupy a designated player slot, as Miami have already used theirs on Lionel Messi, Rodrigo De Paul and Germán Berterame.
