Capcom reaffirms Onimusha: Way of the Sword for September 25, 2026

When Rockstar announced that GTA 6 would launch in November 2026, many big games shifted their plans and September became a popular alternative release month.

Capcom has confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword is still due on September 25, 2026. After a retailer listing suggested the date might move, an unnamed English-speaking narrator in a Capcom Spotlight addressed the rumors, saying, "Once more, Onimusha: Way of the Sword releases on September 25, 2026."

Onimusha will arrive amid a crowded September slate that includes Marvel's Wolverine, Silent Hill: Townfall, Control Resonant, The Blood of Dawnwalker, and Shinobi Art of Vengeance. The series has a strong following and will be competing for attention in that window.
