Capcom first showed Pragmata's announcement trailer in June 2020, a clip that revealed a very different Diana and promised a 2022 release. Delays followed and the game only reached players after its April 2026 launch, but the early reveal continued to hang over the team as they reinvented the project through internal mechanical reboots.

Director Yonghee Cho and producer Naoto Oyama said the trailer became a bigger deal inside Capcom than they expected. "When we made that initial announcement trailer, we honestly did not expect user interest to be as high as it was," Cho said. The response pushed the team beyond simply making "a good, fun game" and into trying to deliver something "even better than we initially imagined." Asked if he regretted revealing so early — a comparison was drawn to Todd Howard's wincing over The Elder Scrolls 6's early reveal — Cho admitted there was "some measure of regret," but added that the attention ultimately helped.
